From sales demo to paying customer
Build a demo page for a prospect, present it, then hand them a real account — without the demo polluting your team, counts or search results.
1 · Add the prospect as a creator (founder)
Creators tab → fill “Creator name”, handle and optional niche/city → “Add creator” (or paste several with “Add creators”). Leave “Pro plan” off and the invite email off: this is your demo, not their account yet.
Who: a founder (the Creators tab is founder-gated). What the prospect sees: nothing yet — the page is not live.
2 · Mark it Demo
On the creator's row press “Mark demo”. Demo pages carry a “Demo” badge (Creators tab and the page switcher), are noindex for search engines, and are left out of the Team block, team analytics/leads counts, department lists and Finance/HubSpot totals. Use the Customers / Demos filter to keep them apart.
Publishing works as usual: press “Not live” → “Live” when you want to show it on a real frddy.io URL during the pitch.
3 · Build and present
Open the page from the switcher, build content/brand/inventory like any page, Save. Present it live or via the public URL.
4 · If yes — unpublish the demo and send the signup link
Press “Live” → “Not live” so the demo URL stops serving. Send the prospect a signup link built from the real flows: frddy.io/app?type=personal (or type=business) &handle=<their desired handle> &promo=<CODE>.
`type` preselects the account kind, `handle` prefills the page address, and `promo` is remembered for checkout: when they pick a plan, the Stripe promotion code is applied automatically (if the code is unknown, the “Add promotion code” field is shown instead).
Create the code first in Stripe Dashboard → Product catalogue → Coupons → New coupon → “Add promotion code” (the customer-facing CODE). Who: founder or account owner with Stripe access. What the prospect sees: the signup form with their handle filled, then checkout with the discount applied.
5 · Once they're registered — sign in as them and rebuild
Founder Console → Users → open the account → the sign-in link (“Sign in as”) opens their workspace in a new tab; a banner stays visible while you act as them and automatic tours never start. Rebuild the page from your demo (copy blocks, brand, inventory source) or walk them through it.
Who: founders only. Account admins of a business can manage team pages but cannot sign in as another account.
6 · Clean up the demo
Creators tab → row → delete the demo page, or keep it unpublished (still marked Demo so it never counts). Deleting is permanent; unpublished demos keep their content for the next pitch.
